  • Frank Hastings
Surprised not to see Andrew Lock and Mark Victor Hansen not on the list?
  • James Jones
    Great list Ryan..
  • Nice to see myself on the list Ryan. Much appreciated :) be great though if you could spare a few minutes to change my domain from the long neglected ozemedia.com (haven't worked on that site for a few years since a hacker managed to corrupt the forum database) to my main site at http://philwiley.com
  • paulwbrowning
    Hey...

what about UK info marketers like the famous www.paulbrowning.com

    He is a cool guy

    Paul Browning
  • JosephChmielewski
I recommend Peter Drew for this list. Also, how about Brian Tracy, John Yeo, John Delavera, Jay Conrad Levinson, Lisa Diane, Kevin Wilke, Reed Florin, Eric Louviere, Dr. Mike, Andy Beal, Ian del Carmen, even the Rich Jerk?

Most of the folks on this list cross promote each other's products in endless array, This makes this list seems more like a club than an objective analysis.,,not to mention a bit incestuous.

And, I suggest another category for Gary Halbert, Marketer Emeritus, or something like that. This would make room for a living legend.

The under-representation of Blacks, Hispanics and Women from this list is disturbing. And including yourself on the list seems "self-serving" and detracts from the list's credibility (even if you deserve to be listed).

It would be useful to publish the criteria or the rubric that was used to determine the building of this list, also the relative ranking of each person that was included. Something scientific would add credibility to this compilation.
  • M Hopkins
Great list Ryan! What about a mention for the late Corey Rudl, one of the early pioneers. His legacy lives on today thanks to the hard work of Derek Gehl and The Internet Marketing centre.

    M Hopkins
  • Rainer
Great list, Ryan. I'm sure there are a few that were missed but after all, this is YOUR list.

But my, oh my, we have a few sensitive folks out there.
  • MARK
You gotta at Bill Glazer, Lloyd Irvin and Micheal Masterson of early to rise to that list. It is absurd to not have them on the list with the current names.
  • Ryan,

I know you'll spark some controversy with this list. There are so many amazing information marketers in the world and yes, this list comprises many of the "internet marketing" clan.

Book publishers are probably the largest infomarketers. With headquarters in 14 countries and operations that span the globe, the world's 45 largest book publishers generated revenue of approximately $73 billion in 2006 (taken from somewhere on the net.)

Sitting atop the ranking is Reed Elsevier, with revenue of $7.60 billion.

Heck, you could say that Larry Flynt is one of the top information marketers of all time (if you really call his magazines "information.")

But I love lists and this is a pretty cool list Ryan. Thanks man!

    David Frey
  • How about a little AJ Roberts and Geovanni Derice? :)
  • Ryan, this is a great list... however, it seems to be only limited to marketers that sell to marketers. I think some of the top marketers online in the world actually sell in other niches besides marketing to marketers. I know guys that do over $100k per day in niches that have nothing to do with selling to marketers. This list would be an entirely different list if we included all of the top dogs selling in non-marketing niches.
  • Kit Koger
Sorry I missed this post yesterday but I feel obligated to comment of a few of these characters. While I am sure that most are honest, there are a few on there that are not. Stephen Pierce made his Internet Marketing start by selling a cloak so that would-be entrepreneurs could get better rankings on their Web sites. Luckily, I saw it for what it was (illegal trickery) but so many did not and ended up having their sites banned permanently by Google.

Then there is Marlon Sanders. This clown brags about how much money he makes online all the time. During the early 2000's, he needed a graphic designer and sent out the word to his list. Being a graphic designer with years of experience, I offered him my help. Do you know what that criminal wanted from his designer? He wanted someone to be on call 7 days/wk, be available to take on assignments at a moment's notice, be experienced in print and online graphics, yet he was only willing to pay this person $10/hr! That's before taxes and no benefits, mind you. Needless to type, I told him where he could put his $10/hr.

The reason I am even commenting on this list is because I see some of the people that have posted are impressed and might want to do business or buy products from the "Top 101." All I have to say is caveat emptor... buyer beware.
  • Ryan, it's a great list but it's really a "who's who" of the best and most prominent Internet Marketers, not really the best Information Marketers. There are tons of people successfully marketing information products outside of the internet/marketing/copywriting arena who may not be so well known because they are not on the IM scene, regular speakers or choose to be more private.

Information marketing is not just about selling "how to make money" products, it's about selling information on any topic people need - as someone who was/is selling fitness info you know this very well. Where are the people who are making a fortune selling music, golf, alternative health, dog training (etc etc) information products?
  • For my money Yaro is one of the most down to earth, great teachers out there and surprised but pleased to see him on the list.

Shows you know your stuff Ryan.

    Keep strong,
    Danny Wright

  • Kimberly Reddington
Nice to see a few women on your list. Would love to see a few more. I know they are out there.
  • Awesome list. I'm impressed that I've met some of them.
  • Overwhelming! There are some heavy hitters there! Are Frank Kern and Jason Moffat the same person? (Joke! look at their headshots!

    Eric Beard
  • Newcomer on the scene and someone who ha been extremely helpful to me is Erin Blaskie. I expect for her to rocket to the top of her game quickly.
  • michael
i'm asian american, but still find this fact quite interesting anyways.
  • michael
Wow, only 2 out of 101 are black? Incredible really, I guess it is an old boys network. Must have your affiliate buddies to make it I suppose. It's very interesting. Internet market "gurus" seem to be like wall street.
  • Good to see my man Robert Plank on the list. The guy is the king of productivity and getting things done. Like 30 new products a month, lol.

Anyone who is starting out and working on getting their first product done, up, and selling, needs to check him out.
  • Great Post Ryan, Thank You!
  • Ryan this post is a gold mine! I can't wait to check out these great sites!
  • Hey Ryan,

Great post. What more could a person want. Joint Venture possibilities and plenty of content ideas
for Info. Products just from studying the best of the best.

The real question is how many of these people also offer a Continuity Program. I would bet most of them.

  • What a list Ryan - just read through all of them, but I'm going to devote a couple of hours to researching the names I didn't know on there, and digging deeper on the ones I did -

It's funny, but about 10 of those guys were speakers at your event - I don't know about everyone else but I'm still buzzed from it -

    Great post man -
