An Important Reminder If You Run Teleseminars!

Make sure to ALWAYS put in the different time zones when you are running a teleseminar.

Break it town into multiple zones in the reminder email. Here’s an example:

8pm EST
7pm Central
6pm Mountain
5pm Pacific

And if you do NOT remind them of the time zones, watch the video to see the craziness that can ensue:

  • I'll admit, I'm looking forward to the DVDs. :D
  • Great video -- funny stuff!

How's it going Blaine? Can't wait for the DVD's, can you? :)
  • I watched it three times!
  • Ouch - sorry to hear that Alex. Could be worse, though - I live far enough East that we should be on Atlantic time year round but still have to deal with that whole outdated daylight savings sillyness.

Great find, Ryan - Ricky Gervais is a funny guy. He did a much better job in the original series of The Office than Colbert does in the American version.
  • Hi Ryan,

Made a similar mistake that some of your readers may wish to avoid.

I'm based in the UK and did remember to put all the times in the different time zones.

However, back in March when this happened we here and you in the US change to daylight saving, the only difference being that in the US it happens a couple of weeks before it does in the UK, so for a 2 week period the time difference to EST from here in the UK is only 4 hours instead of 5 hours!

So from a sign up list of 165 people who had opted in to the webinar, only 2 attended!!!

    Don't make my mistake.

Any way, keep up the good work.

    Alex
