Ryan, I would like you to honor your guarantee for JumpStart 2008 - It's 2010 and I've heard nothing but promises from you. I've done everything you've said with not a dime in my pocket - I'm willing to admit I'm not cut our for this internet stuff - some are some aren't. You've taught us that you always honor a guarantee - $2000 still waiting for it.

    Dear Ryan-
I just read your words, and immediately my eyes welled up, filling themselves with tears, as my heart and empathy now goes out to you and family, and shares in the burden of your pain and grief, is for you what now amounts to a tremendous sense of loss. My mom died suddenly a year ago this past March - and I can only remember too well that empty hurting feeling deep inside... oh the pain.It was so terirble. At the time I didn't know where to run to, hide, or just scream. Ryan - I am a member of your group, and attend your seminars. Although we never really met up, close or personally, I consider you a good friend, exists from the time I first came to see and hear you speak, was at Ozworth '09. At the time you said things that resonated deeply within me, you hit a chord, being at the time you reminded me of someone, my Mom. I liked you and saw that we each shared valuing much of the same things and ideals in life, what existed similar went beyond the physical. As I readily came to identify (myself) with you, I noticed too, between us we each shared many similar traits. I held a vision of you and your family then together, reminded me of mine, and most notably, what came to light; my mind's eye was this mental image, was a picture I held of your Mom's presence existing within you, although she is someone I do not know, never met. Yet within you, then - I saw your Mom's presence. Since so many of your own traits being exhibited then as now, all being demonstrated to us back then, at the time equally reminded me of my Mom, I knew better where your traits came from and therefore I equated the two of them together. Since I saw existing within you those same great qualities that noticeably I had and remembered of with my own Mom, all of which now exist being transferred are now imparted to you, come from your own Mom. I recognized this is what went into her making you into what you now are, that causes you to think, act, and behave as the Mensch you are today.
Causing you to be in both in spirit and mind into being the full living reflection of who your Mom was.

REMEMBER to Triumph in her light, knowing always she will continue to exist by living always deeper inside of you, as spirit. You will always be the direct reflection of your own Mom's love, her work, makes you her resulting end product, serves as the constant reminder of your Mom's endless love held towards you and tireless efforts always being put forth into you, so that you became now are the person she once envisioned, you now are her end product of her life. View and look back, reflect proudly upon all those shared moments, the two of you shared while together. This is just to let you know, She has done a remarkable and terrific job in raising you throughout all these years, by endeavoring to successfully instill and impart to you, may she rest in peace, by giving you all of her own special skills, her own loving qualities, that you so often give or find yourself sharing frequently with all of your own students and friends- you are blessed! Now, seeing you standing in the light, as end product of what is your Mom's result, I am convinced that your Mom possessed extra special rarer kind of qualities, that are not so often or easily found. I'm sure she was a rare breed, special kind of a woman and wont be forgotten by you or any of those whose hearts she has touched.

IN tribute to your Mom, I recognized within you, the meaning of just how special, loving and giving your own Mother was. For me it was easy to see and recognize this, having had my own special Mom, in many ways likening her to yours. Since we each are blessed by having Moms who truly each cared, always demonstrated themselves outwardly toward others with their own love and concerns being held as shared for others, and knowing they always went out of their way or the greater distance for us and others, no matter what. All one need now do, is look back and reflect upon the Mensch who now presently stands before us today, and see inside you is the true inner reflection of your Mom, this has comes to you thru her special love, hard work, and efforts always being put forth
    May your Mom rest in peace. שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ יְהוָה אֶחָד

    Dear Ryan,
I share your grief and particularly the pain of losing your beloved mother so young. And her gifts to you of faith, love, and charity create the space where you will stand for strength and light through these dark nights. And this will be reflected back to you through the love of your own family--your father, sister, wife and children, and the love of your community. When you read these notes of respect and support from those you've touched you'll know that truth reaches beyond our understanding. You are her beloved and she is yours, forever.
I will count you and yours in my prayers, and I will embrace my loved ones again...because of your note. God Bless. Elizabeth

Hey there, Ryan. A bond between a mother and a son is truly special and you have been lucky to have shared it. You will never lose sight of things she has done or conversations you had with her that grounded you and made you the man you are today. Your job now is to continue to be the best person you can be and that will keep her Legacy alive. Take one day at a time and if you ever need someone don't hesitate to call. Bobby Kelly

A vendor gave me a MacBook Pro back in 2006 when they first came out. I didn't know what to think at first, but it took very little time to see that this was a lot smoother and more pleasant to use than the Win XP of the day.

Now I'm working on switching my company to all Mac, as I have seen non-geeks especially have no trouble with it, vs. the frequent support issues experienced with PCs. Many large companies today have also found dramatically reduced IT user support costs when the employees use Macs instead.

Many long-time PC users say, "So few of the Windows apps are available for Mac." That is true, but it's the wrong way to think, because the opposite is also true. Few Mac apps are also available for Windows.

Mac apps are often less expensive than their Windows version counterparts (yes, that's right).

The only area where you need a WIndows workstation today is arguably for industry standard $3,000 software to do very high end 3D modeling (like the 3dsMax mentioned). Apple abandoned that market many years ago, but may come back.

For more normal 3D modeling, there are plenty of good apps like Strata 3D CX which is easy for Photoshop dudes to learn, or the Mac-only Kinemac (see www.kinemac.com) which is very high quallity and ultra easy to learn if you want to create anything 3D for video (or print, really), with hours to learn instead of years (not a typo). And for pro video post production, there is a lot of great software that is Mac-only.

Macupdate.com is a sensational resource that often provides even top quality (pricey) software for half off or better (typically for one day only).

And there's lots more. As for the business side, I am so relieved every time I receive a Word document or an Excel spreadsheet because I don't have to worry about that sinking my machine with malware.

I never used anti-virus software on my Macs, and never had a problem. Neither anyone else I know or heard of.

For belt and suspenders I use Safari and turn off Java (not JavaScript), turning on the Java only to run GoToWebinar. That is all you need to do.

If you write a lot, get Typinator, works perfectly with no glitches, and it does more than the PC-based equivalents.

Lots more, but the key is the pleasure of using it every day.

And if you pay much more than $1,000 for a 15" MacBook Pro, you don't know how to shop.

Or $1,850 for a 17" MBP with a 1920x1080 screen to die for...

Many other models for a lot less too, and they maintaining a second hand value that is many times better than PCs, which depreciate immensely as soon as they're out of the box.

I too exclusively for many years always used PC's, based upon all the same logic being presented here. And each month I had continually (hey now heres is a great continuity model huh?) to pay a tech guy to come in and remove all my computers viruses and hard drive corruption that was continually taking place - cost me lots of aggravation, lost of time spent, not to mention the $175/month billing once added up cost me over $2000 is about the price of one good Apple Mac.THen one day I got the much talked about most feared - fatal blue screen, Why even my back up hardrive was now corrupted. Cost being charged me by a computer virus forensic expert this time (not the tech guy) to reclaim this lost info reached into several thousand dollars more, actually $4000, is about the cost of two good MACS. Since 18 months ago, I now exclusively use ONLY MACS, and ya know what - goodbye viruses, good by tech guy (he really was such a jerk anyway), and no friggin defraggin my hard drive which always drove me nuts. Now how do you like them Apples? ;-)
  • Nemo
who told you that Macs don't get viruses?
why did you pay someone $4000 to recover your files
you could have just purchased a copy of Recover My Files for less than $100
and yes they also have a Mac version.
Because believe it or not Mac's are not made by the Gods they are only machines made by humans
used by humans and they do break down
  • Hi Ryan:
I just found your site. It looks interesting. I have been online for 15 months and I am still pretty green to Internet marketing. I am glad to be on your mailing list. I hope to learn a lot.

where is the special price for the members for king 2.0
  • Sydney
Coincidence! I heard from my merchant provider not 30 minutes before I saw your video about free plus shipping. He sent a four-page document.

We were not even charging shipping (the freebie is digital) yet he said he could not get approval.

We will make changes and make the freebie a separate item altogether that will go viral via affiliates. It will not even be mentioned on the landing page.

    Hi Ryan,
Is there any way to get information about the live event without viewing the video? I am a consultant currently working on a client site and don't get much time to surf after my very long day. I have tried to find out what the dates are for this live event, and using my blackberry to click on the links didn't work and coming to your site here I can see most information but the video has been blocked by the content monster.

I just need the dates so that I can get on this if I can work it into my schedule.
  • Al Greco
Here's the info, taken from "the inside":

The pre-day workshop takes place from Thursday 9am to 4pm (March 4th)
The main event is from 8am to 6pm (March 5 and 6th)

Hilton Stamford, 1 First Stamford Place, Stamford, CT

I pretty much (almost) finished absorbing the content from CS1, and thought it was absolutely fantastic. I've already made my reservations for the next one... I wouldn't miss it ;-)

Hi guys, you should just send an message to the adress Ryan uses in his emails.

Anybody who says they will protect my email with their life has lost my respect, it's nonsense.

How do I cancel my membership?

  • Kathy
Ian, out of all the information on this site, your only take away was on what he said about taking care of your email info?! Pathetic, sounds a lot like the green-eyed monster talking and not much else. Sad really.

I missed the webinar on how to do a membership website, are you going to post the webinar on the website. I am very inbterested in it. Thanks!

  • Please don't use your intro and exit music that you are currently using on your videos.

    1. It is too loud!
    2. It sucks!
  • Enrique
Why are you paying attention to the music? This site is about content. Pay attention to the stuff that can make you more money. Not the music.

    Cheerio chaps.

I feel like ranting for goodness sake.

Its seems like your missing the forrest for the trees here buddy. What we should be concerned with is making sure that Ryan continues to pump out quality info that we can use right away. I dont care if he plays hashsquash singing ave maria to a calypso beat while smoking crack as long as the info is real, honest, and very useful.

ok. I ranted. still feel the same. wasted some time. but now extra motivated to make up for it and get some real work done. Thanks for the inspiration. By the way, offer me something good on your opt-in and i might sign up. I'm tired of newsletters.
  • algreco
While I can say that I like "continuity" of volume - almost as much as continuity income (but not quite), I can agree that "volume uniformity" throughout the recording is always nice to have. On the other hand, I don't mind the intro at all.

I was just listening to a couple of interviews in the car this past Saturday, and I actually took notice of the intros and thought about them for a moment... I made a conscious realization that there was time, effort, and expense put into making each recording a "professional" production, as opposed to someone just hitting "record" on a phone call.

A professional announcer was hired, the intro scripted and the recording edited... and even more importantly it is NEVER done as a distraction in order to "spruce up" otherwise low-value content.

I for one certainly wouldn't complain about the extra efforts made to produce something in a professional, quality manner, and instead would commend it.

I listen to a lot of interviews on my ipod in the same manner, and I prefer it over the many haphazard and casual materials that many marketers produce. To me, it was reminiscent of of the old "self-improvement' products of yesteryear... If you can remember many years back, when similar audio programs were put out in binders of cassette tapes. Rather nostalgic.
  • Paul
    Agreed. WAY too loud.

It does not go with your personality. It is a mismatch. Very irritating, to say less.

    Ryan,

I took a survey a while back with Anne Holland regarding Subscription & Membership Site. Anyway, I just got the PDF (Excerpt). Looks like there is some pretty cool info...happy to forward (if you do not already have it). Just tell me where to send...she says it's okay to share.

Hi Ryan and greetings from the UK. I came across your site only last week and already feel so much more inspired and motivated. On Saturday night driving home from the 'Top Gear Live' roadshow (I don't know if you get that in the US) I had three 'light-bulb' moments (at last). Among the many questions I'm brewing for you is this one: I envisage that with a number of disparate ideas to pursue I may need a number of websites. Is this absolutely necessary or can I use one website and split the content, keeping each separate? Is this a daft question? Please excuse me but a third question: Is there a contents list for the fantastic video and audio material available to the inner circle as it does appear that its a case of press 'go' and glue yourself to the screen for a day and a half?
Many thanks for your inspiration and your fantastic information. Alan
