seeing the comments below...I must add this....I love this month with Todd, I think he is a great learn....his passion bleeds though....BUT the support at even getting in here because of a system that kept bouncing me has been off the planet frustrating and customer support is quite poor. You've got a lot of unhappy people here Ryan. Looks like to me you might want to strongly consider quality customer service with all the programs that you are constantly creating.

    Lisa,

As Bill Clinton said "I feel your pain".

I can tell you, it's a HUGE undertaking to switch a billing processor and membership script with thousands of active members. We knew there would be headaches with the switch over and some members who didn't get the new login details (bounced emails, old emails, etc.)

But, I know in the long run, it is going to help our member experience. Plus, cut down on our customer support.

And I always focus on providing top customer support. We don't outsource it and, in fact, I just hired another full-time support person. I make sure every ticked is answered within 1 business day.

Lisa - if there was a specific issue with customer support or someone didn't get back to you promptly, please let me know at ryan@ryanlee.com and I'll personally look into it.

    Rock 'on,
    Ryan

Really informative to hear how Chef Todd makes his whole process works - great session!
  • Ryan... Every time I click on a link from an email you have blasted out to me, it sends me to something else or doesn't relate to what the link talked about.

IMHO, your mass marketing approach to gaining followers and fans leaves me with a feeling of dis-trust and lack of integrity. Please be clear about where a link is taking me and what I can expect to find at the other end.

Although you are probably a nice guy, and I have attempted to become a fan, your continued technical glitches and shallow promises leave me using you as an example of how "not to use the new media to attract new customers", until you can deliver what you promise.

If you think I'm wrong, show me otherwise. ...Howard
  • Hi Howard,

I'm sorry you're having difficulty. That is frustrating.

I just wanted to let you know that if you share more specifics with Ryan, he'll get right on it. I've been a member of his site for a few months now and wanted you to hear from a person (me) who is very hard on folks when I don't believe they are delivering.

I think this changeover, for whatever reason, is causing some difficulties where there were none before for some people - which is unfortunate.

I can honestly tell you that Ryan will make it right for you no matter which direction you go.

Ryan can speak from his side but I just wanted to let you know that I feel your frustration and want you to know that Ryan really does have some great stuff and most importantly, integrity. I will not follow someone and especially not give them my money if there is any doubt about that in the least bit.

Please let him know your specific technical problems and if after addressing the issue you still feel the same way about it, he'll make it right for you no matter what. That really is the kind of guy he is.

Ryan, get this man connected :)

Thanks, Howard. I hope to see you on here down the road!

    Audrey

  • Audrey... I see that the link now automatically takes you to the video page
whereas before it landed on the upgrade page. Whoever is maintaining the
site needs to do some maintenance. I can't even get to the blog posting to
    respond to you now. ...Howard

    Howard,

In the transition, some people did not receive the email to change their password in the new account. It seems like your account might have been one of those.

Glad to see you are all set now.

    Howard,

I'm not sure what "links" you are referring to and where they are sending you too.

We are always trying to improve our technology - that's why we upgraded to infusion and continue to invest to make the customer experience better.

And I am sorry you feel I make shallow promises. I have thousands of members who will disagree with you.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. Feel free to email me specifics so I can address them. Not sure how I can defend blanket statements like "sends me to something else" or "broken promises".

    Best,
    Ryan

Nice one....bring me to the page, then ask me to upgrade....
  • I'm getting the same thing. In fact, the entire Inner Circle is completely screwed up now that he's running Infusionsoft. I can't get into my account at all.
  • ryanlee
    Hey Guys,

We're working on the fix. Will be another day or so of craziness until it's all taken care of.

    Hang in there...

    Ryan
  • There's a lot of great content here. I have a much better idea of what a microcontinuity model actually is.

However, he never did answer the question about what software he uses to drip content, and I didn't hear anything about how he addresses the fact that 99% of his paid information is available for free online. I can see that he structures his content very well, and the "mystery gifts" will keep many people engaged, but is that enough?

The only other comment I have now is that the headline says he hasn't created new content in 2 years, yet he specifically mentions that one of the things he focuses on is creating content. Something doesn't seem right here.
  • ryanlee
    Hey Alan,

He did mention the software program he uses to drop the content is "Wishlist Member".

Re: New Content. He creates new free content to market, but the actual continuity program consists of videos he filmed 2 years ago.

  • wavecrusher1
Wishlist doesn't have a product that drips content. I have been asking every month for the past 7 months. They were supposed to have a drip system in place by now, but they just told me a couple of weeks ago that they have tables the project for the foreseeable future. He must use different levels and move people through them.
  • beachedfish
They call it sequential upgrading and it works very well to "drip" content. here is a video that shows you how to set it up. http://member.wishlistproducts.com/micro/
