David Archuleta, American Idol, Imagine

I must be one of the handful of people who don’t watch American Idol.

However, last night my 3 girls went to sleep early so I had some free time to do some “channel surfing”.

So I came across American Idol and figured I’d watch for a few minutes.

The last singer last night was a 17 year old kid named David Archuleta sang a version of Imagine by John Lennon and just nailed it.

And I’ll admit, it – this performance gave me goosebumps.

What does this have to do with success or fitness or information marketing.

EVERYTHING.

You see, everyone was put here for a reason. After seeing this young man sing you know his reason – and that is to sing.

So my question for you is: what is your reason. What are you going to contribute. What legacy are you going to leave.

And because I’m such a sap, I’ve uploaded the video of David’s performance here so you can see what happens when your life mission, desire and talent all come together.

Enjoy:

  • Ryan, I deeply appreciate the beauty of the gifts that you give us, daily, from your heart and from your success!

When a 17 year old can move a world of people with his message of love and unity, with his voice and passion, imagine what we each can do to soften a hardened world! Okay, not the physique, just the hearts!

Another great song says: Come on people now, smile on your brother, everybody get together, try to love one another right now!

    Peace!
  • Thanks Ryan for sharing this with everyone. Keep up all your great work.

Amazing - what passion and feeling in someone so
    young.
  • Ryan,

    Thanks for sharing...

It's amazing for this kid at 17 to be on this large of a stage.

I was at a seminar recently talking to a college student who was developing a organic food sharing program for college students in their dorms.

What an amazing guy. (He's also had a full service personal training business with over 20 clients.)

I think fear too often holds us back from what we truly want because we'll be in the public for all to see. If you're 100% congruent with your message there's nothing to expose.

Be 100% and then get out there. Amazing things will happen!

    Live Awesome!

I have 2 words for this young man:

Indigo Warrior...full of fire hear to spread and share his spiritual truth... listen to his message
  • You can see our legacy we are leaving at this web site. I've been involved in the music world for over 50 years and you are right, Ryan! That kid is AWESOME for that song! Let's hope he can keep on perfect pitch through other songs! Go David!
  • I admire your character Ryan...Forget the singing, the words to the song say it best "You may say I'm at dreamer, but I'm not the only one, I hope some day you will join us and the world will live as one"

Thanks to blogs like this we are truely all connected and living with purpose, GREAT POST!!!

All I have to say is:
"Imagine a world where every young person had this much love and passion in their heart" - I wonder if you could.
  • Larry Birzer
If this guy nailed it then the music business is in for a fall. Afraid I didn't see or hear what you did.

Well that is the appeal of Idol. Amongst all the mediocre and the wannabes, every once in a while you find the real deal. And this kid makes watching all the other lackluster performances worth the wait.

One of the best performances ever on Idol.

Now if I could just figure out what my legacy will be....
